Pascal Tenand is our new French agent and we’re delighted to have him on board! We caught up with Pascal to find out a bit more about the unique experience and knowledge he brings to the team.
Back in the early 90s, Pascal spent several years with a Mabey & Johnson, a leading international provider of high-quality, rapid-build, pre-engineered modular bridging solutions for permanent and temporary applications. In the role of export manager, Pascal worked predominantly in Africa and Indochina.
Tasked with promoting and selling structural bridge systems to Ministries of Works in countries where bridges were much needed but where finance was scarce, Pascal also had to source project finance and created relationships with UNDP, the World Bank and the African Development Bank to make sure the projects became a reality!
He really had to use his imagination and tenacity to implement those projects and, during his time with the company he sold and helped to install projects in French Guinea, Gabon and the Congo before moving to Vietnam where he established a representative office.
In September 1999, Pascal joined Republic Technologies, a multinational wholesaler, distributor and retailer of tobacco products. Drawing on his expert export skills, Pascal took on the role of global export manager and created an exclusive network of over 80 distributors all over the world. He also became interested in the safety and protection of his colleagues who were based in volatile areas and worked on establishing a ‘duty of care’ policy for the business.
Some 15 years later, Pascal set up his own business – Aradis France SAS – where he continues work with companies, individuals and products to drive sales and support business development.
