Ukraine is confronting increasing threats as Russia escalates its military aggression and cyber operations, while Ukrainian intelligence services, supported by international partnerships, strive to counteract these challenges.
On the 10th of June 2025, Russia launched one of its most significant air assaults on Kyiv, deploying over 300 drones and missiles. The attack resulted in at least three fatalities and extensive damage across seven of the city’s ten districts. Particularly, the historic Saint Sophia Cathedral and a maternity ward in Odesa were among the targeted sites.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strikes, urging the United States and European allies to impose stricter sanctions on Russia and to enhance air defence capabilities. He criticized US President Donald Trump’s previous peace efforts as ineffective and called for more decisive international action.
In addition, Ukraine’s intelligence services are engaged in a complex intelligence battle. Former CIA Director John Brennan highlighted the significant strides made by Ukrainian intelligence, noting their increasing sophistication and effectiveness. He emphasised the importance of continued Western support to maintain and enhance these capabilities.
However, Ukraine faces internal challenges, including spies from within. Recently, a Polish citizen was arrested for allegedly spying for Russian intelligence, reflecting the broader issue of foreign interference and internal security breaches.
As the conflict in Ukraine continues to evolve, the combination of military aggression and intelligence warfare presents complex challenges and highlights the importance of comprehensive security solutions.

At The Panic Room Company, we deliver bespoke security solutions designed to counter both conventional and emerging threats, including the growing risk of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attacks. As seen in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, modern warfare now targets not only physical infrastructure but also critical communications and electronic systems. EMPs can be weaponised to disable electronics, disrupt command and control operations, and severely compromise unprotected infrastructure. In a warzone or targeted attack scenario, this could mean the complete collapse of national power grids and essential systems. Our advanced protective technologies help safeguard against such vulnerabilities, ensuring resilience when it matters most.
