A nuclear war bunker built in the 1960s in Scotland has been opened up to the general public for the first time in its history.

Part of a network of hundreds of sites staffed by volunteers of the Royal Observer Corps during the Cold War, it was actually built not to shelter people but to monitor any fallout as the result of a nuclear attack.
